A picture of my Mum and Dad with their friend Beryl and her husband Bill Claytons Comet, circa 1955. Both Bill and Beryl were very short in stature and I belive the bike had a lowered seat and higher footpegs than normal to help Bill ride it. He was apparently expert at slow riding so he didn't have to put a foot down as this involved him sliding sideways off the saddle and struggling to hold the bike up with Beryl perched on the back. Note she appears to had the benefit of a fully sprung pillion seat! Does the bike still exist? Best, Nick

After blowing the picture up it seems to be a standard seat with maybe less padding at the front and a pannier rack, the footrests look standard drop.
