PT: Exhaust Campbell Silencers

Does anyone have experience of running a Campbell silencer on a "C" Comet. Not particularly worried about sound, but are they restrictive?

The short answer is yes. They are too restrictive. The original Campbell had more spirals than the Vincent silencer and the central tube was of a smaller diameter.

More than once members have reported poor performance from their machines.The restrictive nature of the Campbells silencer was to blame.Not only that; in some cases the entire baffle assembly had broken loose inside and blocked the outlet.In other words-Avoid!
