Misc: Ignition BTH Magneto ground wire issues

I have all my kill switch wires (for bikes that require them) on plain SPST switches which I usually tuck away somewhere discreet... Shit now I've told everyone!

David, What power wire? do you mean the HT or are you thinking the coils are mounted somewhere besides under the cowl? This is a new style BT-H self powered CDI ignition. Only 3 wires coming out from under the mag where the coils are, all zip tied together and not been a problem except as noted above in many miles!

My power wire was about 3 feet long and the coils were placed on the UFM.

I believe the post I am remembering was one where the poster was told by BTH to run his wires differently and after doing so there was no problem. The Poster said he should have known because he had a background in electrical engineering and he should have seen the problem. Shortly thereafter, BTH changed the ground wire to a shielded ground wire.
