E: Engine Idler boss ET51/2

I needed one of these for my new engine I found one on a Comet engine that was used for racing I scraped it and the base was steel so I took it off
(obviously I would not use an alloy base one however good loctite is nowadays)
I saw it was a two piece steel one and I read on the forum that the two piece ones from maughans are OK and it certainly looks OK
however this one is stamped on the base "M&S"
I know this is not just an idler boss its an M&S idler boss but has anyone any experience of using one or who made it?

Yes Simon I must be slow today I just logged back in because the penny had dropped!
