Look in "Richardson" for picture of Comet engine/gearbox unit. It shows where the H.T. lead should go. I'm not getting personal, but yours ain't long enough! A very pretty bike!

If you have a magneto ignition, run the cable downwards first from the pick-up. Slide the clip further forward on the return oil line such that the cable is held about half an inch from the head fins. A little dodge P.E.I. showed me was to twist the cable so that it is under tension to keep the little acorn nut on the pick-up closed.This also helps the cable to kick out from the head. You just need to remove the plug cap and twist it a couple of turns. Which control cable is running over the inlet rocker inspection cap? It won't have an easy bend in it, I fancy. Cheers.
