Misc: Everything Else Dismantling the oil tank cap?

Good evening everyone.
In the attached photograph you'll see on the left my existing oil cap with a dipstick. Now the cap hasn't got the required writing on it , so I thought I'd replace the cap. However, before I try and bodge or break it, does anyone else know the correct method to dismantle it or any experience of trying please?
Both caps spring up and down.

Take the cork seal out and wiggle the sprung center past the indentations on one side - may take a bit of brutality . . . .

I saw one last night but because it was on the Ex- Phil Primmer Shadow,
I assumed that Phil had made it.

I thought there was one but I didn't search very well. Many thanks Ian

A couple of my Triumphs have had dip sticks attached to the cap. I made from a worn out hack saw blade after I annealed it.
