Today I was taken out by my lady wife Carol, or Keira B'knightly as she has decided she should be known. We saw various foolhardy riders who have obviously never considered the Road Rash Queens warning, riding a variety of modern machines from moped scooters up to hog.
As she drove south out of Tiverton on the A396 I saw a small bike heading north pull out from the queue approaching us to overtake on our side of the road. The bike was unlit and the rider was all in black. He pulled back in with a hundred yards to spare. He got within about five yards before I realised that the little bike was a tidy Black Shadow with a polished straight crash bar and balance beam support. Otherwise it looked black and shiny in all the right places with a clean chrome exhaust.
In about 36 years of club membership this is only about the fourth Vin I've seen on the road without either knowing the rider or the destination.
