I had a tank done last year, the decals were applied, left 2 days, had a very fine lacquer coat first then thicker each time, STILL BUBBLED a little !

My tank is being done at the moment, apparently you can choose waterslides or vinyl ones which are supposed to be easier to fit, I am keeping my fingers crossed because the last ones I had done did bubble a bit, any bubble is too much, everyone I know has struggled with water ones. classic transfers give very good guidance/instructions and are very helpful, If mine bubble we will try the vinyl next, watch this space ! I don't drink Coffee while riding, that would be silly because it could spill and damage the tank and possibly burn my private parts, I only drink Guinness whilst riding because it has no adverse effects on the paintwork.

Ha ha, that reminds me of a story I need to tell..... I was down in WA. state at one of the swap meets years and years ago and guess who I run into ? Dave Eady of the Seattle Cossacks. Anyways, we're talking and he say's he wants to show me something on his bike. He's got his old Big Twin Flathead Harley down there with him. He says do I see anything unusual, and after looking for a few seconds I point out that there are two petcocks on the one right side gas tank. He says good and pulls out a little shot glass, aims it under the petcock and turns it on and out pours an amber fluid. He says "check it out !" I take a whiff and then take a sip. It's Bourbon ! One more for the road I says Please ! Anyways, true story. And, what a Great Guy <3

Those are much wider than the 'D' UFM so a tank which will clear a B/C will certainly clear a 'D'.
My experience with Vincent tanks is limited to series D but wouldn't there be a problem fitting a C tank with clearance for the rear carb, it being on the left and normally a Monobloc?
