Hi all,
firstly this may be stupid so sorry.
Does anyone know if there is a right or wrong way up to mount a 12v coil? Or can anything get damaged in it if it is horizontal/vertical?

thank you

Anyway up should be OK, there are very few oil filled coils about these days, most modern ones are insulated with a solid resin like substance.

coil alignment

Many years ago{around 30], during a crypton tuning course , was told by the instuctor "always mount coils facing downwards". Can't remember why now, but served me well ,building race+rally cars since. Hope this helps. Roy.
