What is known about this Rapide is that it is a 1951 series C Rapide LYY491 currently on the missing list.

Last reported as a complete Vincent in the 1962 yearbook.

Known owner 1962 - 64 Andrew Hornsby the informant his brother Roger also had a Rapide in the 1960`s.

The engine is in an Egli somewhere in America with a Vincent owner not in the club.

Last reported ten years ago 2020.

Last reported as a complete Vincent in the 1962 yearbook.

Chris, no I've not had a reply to date. The Egli is out there for sure.
The original frame I'm not so sure about but you never know
If I hear anything I'll let you know

My interest is because Simon was short on detail and I was trying to help of course a photo of the Egli would be nice for the Hornsby brothers both of whom had Vincent Rapides.
