The Comet actually goes ,what a buzz, for the first time since being abandoned in 1963 , we took to the road , now the fettling starts,see you at Mallory,(fingers crossed)Len.c

Well done, it is always good to get a once abandoned bike back on th road where it belongs:)

Our Comet was parked since 56, and it now runs a treat after periods of fettling.

Good low milage bikes as well!

Hi Len, I envy you!
I am in the final stage with my Comet special and hope to ride it this summer. I started many years ago and in the meantime I got hold of a lathe, a mill a TIG welding kit and so on. the problem is that many parts I made years ago with my basic equipment looked totally ok for me at the time I made them. now with the new tools I am redoing those parts as I think I can do better now.
it just left me another two years without the Comet. Seems to me that sometimes less is more.
