It has mounts welded to the chassis are for a Norton gearbox hence the reason I am looking for half cut cases.

It would probably be cheaper to buy new cases than try and get genuine ones and then do any repair work needed, even chopped ones aren't cheap.

It just seems so wrong to do damage to something that can be usable but it might come to that.

Why not use new ones and fit a 5 speed cluster. Others have got new ones and chopped them up before.

The car was logged book with a 4 speed box so I am limited

I quite agree!! It is wrong. I hope you can modify the chassis to accept new cases. If not then there should be a concerted campaign to find you historic chopped cases.

Still looking for a chopped twin engine or cases to help the Walkem Special 2 front heads is the way to go.

The car used a stock unchopped engine and the stock 4-speed twin gearbox. Also, It is easier to find a complete set of stock cases than chopped cases.
