Marty Dickerson turned 92 yesterday.

Hi - should be corrected soon. Marty bought the bike when he was 22, as well, not 18. A long time ago. His expression was a picture when he saw his old bike again after a number of years.

Besides the records set with the blue bike, you have to see the bike in person and really take a look at it, to see how it is also a work of art, all of the little touches and customizations that Marty did. These modern show bikes with Vincent engines don’t have anything over and above what Marty did to that bike, and it went as good as it looks. Not just form, but function to back it up.

In 2006 at the NHRA Award banquet, Tommy Auger was given the Golden Age Award. He didn't know that on the same stage behind a curtain was his Lightning
he hadn't seen in more than 50 years. The moment was priceless.
