Phil,late in the last war when at Vincents lived in a flat in the Manor House Weston Park Weston Hertfordshire UK (this is in the Domesday Book) google this up, he was also in the local Home guard ( Dads army)

Phil Irving son Dennis attented the Alleyne grammer school in Stevenage, which is now renamed The Thomas Alleyne academy, which is partly built on the old Vincent no 1 factory site, Phil use to bring Dennis to school in the factory rapide and Blacknell sidecar I do not recall ever seeing Phil driving a car in the UK
