Uploading Video

My first attempt at creating and uploading a video has failed.

Has anyone got any tips as to size?
I know the space is unlimited on the Forum but I think my upload timed out and killed the Forum because it went offline.

I'm using a Macbook and sharing the movie as a medium sized export. It's my first Mac so I'm on a steep learning curve here.
Thanks in advance.

Your attempt at uploading a video didn't cause the forum to go off-line. That was down to me while I was trying to fix something.

What format are you trying to upload your video in?

I guess on your Mac, you're trying to generate the file using iMovie or iDVD?

Phew, glad it wasn't me.:)

Also affecting the upload was a break in our academic fibre optic link, so that did't help. But I'm home now.

Yes,it's imovie exported as medium size.Should it be smaller?

Going to try again in a minute.

Failed Again

Well,I tried to upload the movie and the site logged me out before it finished.

I also uploaded the same movie to "You Tube" and it worked perfectly.

So what's going wrong and how do I fix it?

I can't even begin to explain why you can't upload your video. It may be it's physical size, but who knows.

However, if you log onto the following site with the username and password, or just click on the link...

I have created a place for you to drop large video files (up to 50mb - if it's any bigger, let me know, and I'll increase the space available).

Let me know when you've put the video in there, and I'll put it on the forum for you (making sure you get the credit for it!)
