a couple of blanking plates a bit of work with a hole saw and a dolop of braze-beats the hell out of a fibre glass replica

And after all who would ride one of those over tyred monsters in the dark?

I made a series D headlamp mould for Vinparts many years ago, produced six of them and when one was sent to Ameica, it got returned with a curt note saying that that fibreglass rubbish was not acceptable and that only a real one would do. Well, Sir, if you are still in the club, I never ever made rubbish and there are 411 satisfied B and C owners out there with my replica Miller shell. Sadly not all members have access to the sort of workshop that Vibrac has so GRP is the only alternative. I will now put my hackles away and I hope that y'all have a nice day. you are correct and I would have used a fibre glass replica if I my wife haddent spotted the similarity at an auto jumble (bless her) I suppose the fact that the S7 headlamp only cost me 15 quid helped
