Evidently a survey has shown that the 20 limit in towns has shown a slight rise in the accident rate and an increase in pollution
it seems pedestrians take more risks with the slow moving vehicles ,drivers are watching their speedos and not the road and vehicles stop start and spend longer in towns at inefficient throttle openings.
And Scotland is thinking of making it a blanket limit in all villages and towns 'soon' .... Glad I am going up there this year

If you tried to do 30 in our village you'd not last too long.
