Having a ferkle about in the timing cover and saw these stamp markings, I don't recall seeing stamps on previous covers. Is this standard factory id work or added during one the machines previous iterations.

Is it the same number inside the ATD cover or dynamo access cover or primary drive cover or the number stamped in between the cylinder matching up the c/case halves, but not ever inside the kickstart cover?

Yes, it is the case mating number , i just did not recall seeing it stamped on the inner timing covers previously so was wondering if it was added by previous owner.

That number is a few digits off from my Shadow. Mine was road tested Nov 1952.
