Please name your Photos

Can I appeal to posters to please name the people in their photos.

Some of the new ones are fantastic, but who are they, where are they?

Inquiring minds need to know.:)

Tracey.

You're right Tracey

Whilst it's nice to see the photos, it's also important we know who is in the photos and also the registration numbers of any machine shown, so we can search for a particular bike if necessary.

Don't forget, that if you see a photo on this site, and there aren't any details, but you know something about it, EVERYONE has the the option of putting a comment down.

Because of this, we should be able to build up a comprehensive database of information.

chapters needed

hello Graham,
I am sure that in the near future there will be a flood of pictures coming in. already now you cannot see all the pic available when opening. There for I would suggest that you have more chapters were to sort the pictures.like rallies, dinners, people, details of bikes, norvin, modifications.. and so on. People like myself are always interessted to see close ups of detail modifications and solution for improvements over the standard setup like disc brakes, engine breathers and so on. sometimes it helps a lot to see a pic of a good idea so you don't have to reinvent the wheel ;). this is no criticism for your splendid work, just an idea to make it easier to search for what you are looking for.

P.S. the clubs forum is the best one I have ever been to in the www. Congratulation!

Hi Graham,

Looks great to me, ability to load more photo's at one time than there are browse boxes on the standard screen (to bulk upload a lot) would be useful.

Also, when I set it up to run a slideshow, each time the pictire changes I have to use the mouse to drag the screen down again to see the picture, each time it resets with a new photo it resets to the top of the page and the VOC banner takes up the space, so you can only see two thirds of the image.

Cheers

Stuart

I can't do anything about the slideshow.

However, I can do something about the number of photos that you can upload at one time.

How many do you think we need?

I may be unusual, but when I go to an event I can easily shoot 30 plus photo's of Vincents - perhaps 20 to a page would be a useful compromise?

Thanks Graham - can't believe how you manage to do this all, plus a job, plus those superb restorations on the Comet and now the Shadow - I really enjoyed looking at the photo's - anything more recent on the completed engine or bike yet?

Regards

Stuart

20 uploads at a time. Done.

Now, I can't quite take the credit for my bikes. My Comet was actually bought like it appears in the photos (although when those photos were taken, we only had one child and I still had a lot of time on my hands!). Now we've got three kids, time is a bit more precious, and unfortunately, the Comet doesn't sparkle as much as it did! Maybe I'll get out to polish it soon!

The Shadow restoration is being carried out by Dr. Derek Sayer (hopefully he'll do a good job!), so I can't even get the credit for that either. As far as more recent photos on the Shadow goes, it really hasn't progressed that much recently, although I understand there's a bit of work being done on the crankcases at the moment.
