Was just discussing this bike last week. It left the factory with approximately 100 miles. Was ridden a few times up until 1955. Next time it was out was a trip to Gimli Raceway sometime around 1978 and had another 10 miles put on it, so at the time of the photo it would have been under 200.

Two choke levers instead of a PR17? Not a quibble, just the only thing not standard-ish for a road-going twin. The bike is gorgeous!

There were many heads at the factory-made with twin plugs by mistake, I seem to have lost my gig for making the second plughole. I made it about 30 years ago O/B ship and is very easy to use with just hand tools in the garden shed, my be the borrower could take a few photos of it while he is using it and put them on here when he gets it as it only left here today.

Thanks Marcus, I'm meeting John to collect it tomorrow. John was describing how it locates in the combustion chamber. Is it going work with my squish band head? Now, if you need photo’s I’ll have to find some of those factory photo style sheets to hang up, hiding the background. Too many people on the forum have enviable tidy workshops while mine needs clearing with a shovel.
