Uncle Wilf's friend Trevor kindly directed us to this website and we wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to you all for your kind words, donations and support at this sad time. Wilfred Owens passing was very unexpected and it has been a great shock to us all - not least to you also. The letters and kind words that Jean, his sister, has received over the last few weeks have been over-whelming and have given her immense comfort. The attendance at the funeral was fantastic and again over-whelming. It has been so wonderful to discover that he had such good friends and was a part of such an extended family, who thought so much about him. Whilst we are all united in the sadness we feel at losing such a unique and wonderful character we know that our lives have been the richer for having known Wilf.
