Sorted - try these guys if you get stuck....

I've found a number of outlets for this on the net but non in your vicinity , it's a Deb UK Ltd product so I suggest you contact them and ask for an outlet near to you , http://www.deb.co.uk/ukswarfega/(S(psgoej55mhqu2e554zd1fr55))/default.aspx

Afternoon All,

If you need some, or in fact a whole range of ther motor products then I can recommend you try "Motor Parts Direct", http://www.mpdonline.co.uk/

I found them through Swarfega themselves eventually, they are a owned/franchise business with branches all over the South - and great value for money - the best I had found prior was £23 + £8.50 P&P for 5L - well I just picked it up for £14.57 for 5L - good deal.

I bought a range of other stuff from them too - all cheaper than Halfords, they sell usually direct to the trade but private buyers can purchase too.

They have a range of oils, tools, bulbs, batteries, cleaners, degreasers and the like - well worth a look.

Success - thanks to all who helped.

Regards

Hi
I use Quick Stop but having spent all my working life in heavy petrochemical engineering, I have a healthy respect for it's ingredients. I use the spray bottle that comes with the 5 ltr container and use the minimum quantity to rinse the component off, catching the run off in a metal container and I do it outside. I certainly wouldn't pour enough into a container to submerge parts because of the rate at which it evapourates. It's flash point is 2 degrees C so a significant build of vapour is easy to ignite as well as having other side effects for example if used in a small shed (not everyone has a large well ventilated workspace). I have a parts washer and I wouldn't use it in that either. It's a good product if used correctly.
