Michael Lichter photographed this highly customized unique 1952 Vincent Black Shadow built by Stefano Martinelli of PDF Motociclette in Bergamo, Italy after seeing it at Motor Bike Expo in Verona, Italy.

Back in the day, the stock version of this bike was advertised with the tag line, "The world's fastest standard motorcycle: This is a FACT – NOT a Slogan!"

This was based on Rollie Free’s 1948 record breaking Bonneville record of 150.313 mph!

The photos were taken on the grounds of an old paper factory near Bergamo, Italy.

Looks like something off "Mad Max" I wonder how he stops the front eccentrics from rotating around........Could be interesting.

I wonder if he is using the Marcus Bowden rear suspension spring modification to stop the spring buckling in the middle, it does not look like it would take much travel to coil bound the spring.

Looks like one of the creations from that strange off shoot splinter group "the bike shed" they are a strange urban poser group who build 'bikes' and put form and expression before practicality along with all that steam punk rubbish. hey ho, it was ever thus.
