Someone, with a plan in mind I think, has just posed me a question that I was unable to answer. What is the fastest outright speed that any Vincent based motorcycle has ever reached, and this would include over bored and stroked machines of any capacity or double engined machines, pretty much anything that is vaguely Vincent based?

Dave Matson's nitro burning 1600cc bike has a 225 mph record at Bonneville, but has unofficially gone faster. Steve Doherty would have more details.

Yes, as far as I know, Dave Matson has the highest officially recorded speed. I believe his best one way timed mile speed is very close to 230 MPH. Max Lambky's streamliner has been pretty close and has exceeded 250 unofficially, but I don't think it has a timing slip over 230, yet.
