Brilliant stuff John,

only just seen it, all is now revealed, (allmost).
Shall we see you next Sunday?

All the best for now

The Wandle isn't obscure, Alan, at least not for me,

I spent my formative years living in Selhurst, just down the road from the Crystal Palace Football Club Ground. We often used to cycle, after school to such exotic places as Beddington Park, where the river was accessible, happy days.

Sadly, having checked out recently many of those areas on Google Earth, it has changed beyond recognition, most obvious, the power station and the cooling towers, that you could get right up close to, it was below west croydon.
The tallest buildings then were the Town Hall and the Church and I used to watch them playing cricket at Whigift School, it's all built over now, time marches on, as always.

Sorry I didn't catch this post sooner.
all the best for now.

I really meant to say "south of the Wandle"-but that is a bit obscure!! [the river Wandle flows from Croydon to Battersea and into the Thames].@ weeks without a bike ride, I should get my "outfit" out!
