sidecar ventilation problem

I am after ideas for sidecar ventilation for a Wessex sidecar. I have done one with small sliding windows with fair success but when it rains there is still water ingress. The window material is very thin and I do not really want to drill holes in the bodywork. Wife and dog would be pleased with any suggestions. Thanks.
