Thanks for the suggestion.
As usual with my problem solving, I've had this on the back burner in my head & have come to the conclusion that I didn't take the Silicone i used round the bolt holes only did the outside edge.
I'm pretty sure i read advice on another topic that recommended going round the bolt holes to give oil tightness a chance.
