It is my very sad duty to report that Robin Vincent-day, son-in-law of Philip Vincent and father of PCV’s grandson, Philip, passed away earlier this week after a short illness.
He faced his final battle with the same bravery and amazing good humour which those who knew him witnessed in his long battle with diabetes and considerable disability.
Soon after Robin met Dee, Vincent’s daughter, he bought a Rapide which they toured on extensively in the UK and Europe. Robin spent hours with Vincent himself, drawing up his later ideas, encouraging him, driving him to meetings so that PCV had the opportunity to try and convince others of the value of his ceramic rotary engine.
Robin was a big man – in his heart, the time he gave to others and his unstinting enthusiasm for all things Vincent and for his family. Our thoughts are with Philip and Robin's family at this time.
