Someone who just went about his business and did the job. For him to do the speed he did on the "Tram Road" took guts and determination as well as supreme confidence in his abilities. Those of us that have ridden on that road are in awe of that achievement. No wide open salt expanse, just a thin black streak of bitumen with absolutely no room for error. While he never continued his pursuit for speed like his countryman Burt Munro, he left an indelible legacy for all. On top of all of that he was a gentleman, a family man and a businessman. He will be missed by all. R.I.P.
