Hi Herman, just did not recognise your name. Probably an age thing. If the steering damper is one of mine then the main bracket is 8 mm polished ali plate which does bolt to the base of the new steering head with three M6 screws. The bracket which holds the damper body is screwed into the hole which held the anchor pin for the original friction damper, which has to be tapped out 3.8BSF and the damper is not a Kawasaki one but a shorter and neater unit with the adjustment done via a knob on the side of the damper body. There should also be another ali spacer, 10 mm thick, to distance the larger ali bracket downwards. Good luck with the project.
