HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP - I AM NEARING COMPLETION OF MY RED SHADOW AND I AM TRYING TO FIT THE REV COUNTER. I HAVE THE REV COUNTER CLOCK, THE CABLE, THE REV COUNTER GEAR BOX AND THE ADAPTED PLATE
(ie THE PLATE WITH THREE HOLES-TWO OF THEM FOR FIXINGS). I ALSO HAVE A NYLON COG THAT FIXES ONTO THE GEARBOX ON THE OTHER SIDE OF SAID PLATE. THE QUESTION IS HOW DOES THIS CONNECT TO THE ENGINE? IN OUR IGNORANCE IT LOOKS LIKE WE NEED A COG WITH INTERNAL TEETH BUT WE DONT KNOW.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE TO GET ONE OR THE PART NUMBER AND HOW IS IT FIXED
ANY HELP APPRECIATED

MICK:confused:

Rev Counter Drive Parts

Mick, it sounds to me as if you have a mixture of parts, some of which are nothing to do with a rev counter drive !
Perhaps you have a speedo gearbox and drive cog ?
Look at Fig.23, page 209 of KTB (Know Thy Beast) 4th edition, where you will find a nice diagram of the exploded rev counter drive and the parts required, with part numbers.
