I assume you mean at the bend just behind the top fixing?
Yes , but extended it rearwards by about one and half inches. I first rolled a piece of sheet steel to get the curve, and then scalloped the forward edge to confirm to the shape of the two forward mounting hole lugs on the number plate so that the two forward mounting bolt holes are reinforced.
I have had this on my twin now for many years now with no further problems

Been a while getting round to painting the repaired holder. Weather mainly.
Thanks for the spray paint recommendation - good stuff!
I mentioned before about the securing nuts and bolts. May look for some 10mm
stainless nyloc ones or I have some red stud lock I could use on the ones fitted.

Thanks. Yes, good idea.
I've already got a replacement pattern Lucas rear light from Paul Goff.
Pretty bright too but could use more light up front.
Maybe a Xenon bulb is available.
