The Superblends are regular straight roller bearings but are in an "extra service" grade. Norton created the Superblend name and made it sound as though this bearing was some new invention of theirs. In reality they were forced to pay up for higher spec bearings after the cheaper mainbearings they had always used kept letting go as power went up, especially with the Combat model.
I was able to find the extra duty rollers in a non lipped type, but it took some searching and they were $$$.
