Hi all,
As a brit living in Germany I like to come home.. some times & I was wondering if anyone can suggest any reasonable ferry crossings from mainland Europe to the UK... I assume at the present time the fares are up because of the school hols?
It would be nice to hear, as last Dec 08 I paid €29 each way & now I was asked 139 quid! return for a Camper Van up to 6 mtr long & over 2.50 high

Any ideas?

Cheers, German Jock

Hi Jock,

The cheapest route seems to be the Dunkerque/Dover route.
The prices will vary over the day, with peak times being the most expesive, also the size of your camper will make a large difference, as you will tend to get classed with the freight.

Taking a car with Norfolkline on the above route varies from £42 return upto £72 return depending upon time of year and crossing time.

Have a look on www.norfolkine.com or try googling cheap ferries

Cheers
Neil
