PR4/A oil filter housing cap thread - a thread thread!

A sealant round the edge? in forty years of sealing up filter oil caps never done it yet
had to wire a few for worried scrutineers though, one even wanted the oil pump nut wiring....

The straight threads tighten the cap with a tapered male flange against the case with an exactly matching female taper.... and no, a not-setting sealer is fine but most times unnecessary. ( uh, is there something difficult here to understand?)
No, it is clear and what I understood the design to be.

I said sealant was optional..... hell, it can't hurt if it's non-setting and stays gel-like. But, one must remember that someone else may have a leaky taper for some reason and have to use some goo. Somewhere I have a picture
of a crash bent filter opening I had to sleeve and build a cap with an o-ring seal. I'll post it if I find it.
