A friend of mine has aquired an Egli framed racer which has apparently never been registered for the road. He thinks the frame may be one from Cyril Malem CTG . Can anyone tell me how and where Cyril or CTG stamped their frames. and what the sequence of numbers/letters were?
This particular frame has a number of indecipherable markings
Thanks in advance

Further to the above They have now deciphered, on the headstock, "GTR 009/68". this also appears under the seat .
It is thought however that these letters/numbers may have been put there by an early owner
Thanks for any information

GTR is not a Cyril Malem type frame number prefix.
This frame with GTR 009/68 frame number has been circulating for the last few years and is of unknown manufacture and our Egli section organiser cannot identify its manufacturer from photos of the frame a recent owner provided.

Getting a DVLA registration will be extremely difficult as it cannot be dated for age related registration application and so will probably be looking at Q plate / kit vehicle route which is what is done for something that cannot be identified or dated.
