Can anyone help me I am looking for a competent tin smith to repair a 500 series A petrol tank or possibly make a complete tank?
I have had two horror stories, one was yes we can do and after months they had a go and sent me some pictures bashed and buggered up. When I got the tank back I contacted a firm near Basingstoke who said bring it up the best part of 140 miles round trip and we’ll sort it out. I took it to them and they could not see any problem. I asked how much It would cost and they said they were very busy and would email
a cost that never came. They asked me to pop in to discuss, another 140 miles. When I got there the tank was exactly where I left it. I asked if they worked out a price. They said no but would do it straight away, why they could not do this in the first place beggars belief. After 2 minutes and a bit of scrap paper, he worked out a cost of 9000 pounds. What rhymes with pizz off? So fellow Vincenteersany help greatly received.
