Its a common misconception that there is presure comparable to hydraulic level pressure in the oil lines of a Vincent, I always used to smile when I saw those silver braided oil lines, thankfully rare nowadays
the pressure exerted by the rotating pump amounts to a few pounds only. I think more oil drops out of the cases by osmosis than pressure.
