Since this seems to be the way most new owners will start learning about their whirring masses of inefficiency,I offer the following case histories. Most 'bikes now purchased will be in the following state; newly cosmetically restored and infrequently ridden. In two cases in my local area machines newly purchased have suffered from partial fuel starvation due to blocked fuel tap meshes. It can save a lot of bad feeling if all new bikes get their tanks drained into a clean container and their fuel taps removed and cleaned. The modern two-pack paints are hardy and redoubtable foes in these areas!Thank you Nulli Secundus for your encouragement.
