DVD or Video Tape – Pre-Production Discount Price Just $12.95

There is great motorcycle riding in Colorado and some great examples of the Vincent marque are coming this August to try it out. We intend to get it all on video for those of you who want to remember the event and for those of you who can't make it.

This video is being produced for the 2008 Vincent Rally by James King and other students at the CU Film School and will be available soon after the event. Order your pre-production copy now and save $3.00 off the full price. All proceeds for the sale of these videos will go to the students.

The rally schedule includes rides to St. Mary's Glacier, the Lariat Loop Trail, Rocky Mountain National Park along the Peak-to-Peak Highway, and up to the summit of Mt. Evans – the highest paved road in the lower 48 states, plus a great bike show in historic Central City. We hope to capture the parties and get-togethers and interview many of the attendees and presenters as well. As a bonus we are also planning to include an insider's look at the second annual Rocky Mountain Concours d' Elegance at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs where this year's featured motorcycle marque will be the Vincent.

Peter and Micky Allen have a great program planned for this year's Vincent Owners Club North American Rally. Don't miss it! Order your pre-production copy of the video, it will be next best thing to being at the rally, the Rocky Mountain Concours d' Elegance and maybe even the BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials.

We will be providing updates about the video as we get them, so check in often.

08-16-08 – The rally has reported in the neighborhood of 80 Vincents will be attending this year's event.

08-17-08 – We are planning to walk the Rally Show with Pete Gagan, President of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America and representative of Bonhams Auctioneers and Appraisers – maybe we'll find out what they are really worth!

08-18-08 – We're looking forward to including an interview with Paul Von Till, author of Greased Lighting.

08-19-08 – The BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials has about half a dozen Vincents, from stock to streamliner, signed up to make runs on the Bonneville Salt Flats the first week in September. To round out our look at Vincents this Summer we hope to be able to include a short recap of this event along with a special interview with legendary Vincent racer Marty Dickerson.

08-23-08 – We understand that the two Amandas are coming.

After the video is produced the price will be $15.95 so take advantage of the early order discount.

Has anyone any idea when these DVD's will be released?

I think I paid for one of these sometime in September/October, but since then have heard nothing, progress report or publish date would be nice, or even "sorry, its all gone ti*ts up, dont hold your breath!"

Try sending a Private Message to Peter Allen, who was rally organiser as well as vdeo organiser. His handle is Vincenttwin

I just got this reply from the contact I had:

"Hi Tony,

The project has been painstakingly slow, it seems school has been getting in the way of production this Fall. Peter has received his review copy and with his final input the DVDs can be finalized, burned and distributed. We are very close to being able to ship, probably by mid-January.

I got mine - it's great....

I got mine and have had the chance to watch it the once - it's great and really good to see some of the people who's names I've seen comeup on Jtan and the Forum. Nice to be now able to put a face to a name. The guys in the States certainly love their Vincents and also know how to organise a rally - now some of those roads look like they are worth travelling across the world for. I'm now adding taking my Rapide to the States to my "1000 things to do before I die".

Thanks for all the efforts that went into it - a great result.

did you get yours ,they are out

Yes got mine Friday, after having to pay them robbing BAS***DS at Royal Mail £13.28 duty, VAT & Handling. I havent watched it yet, been to Edinburgh bike show today 260 miles, a nice series B Rapide and also a Red Comet, on display, never seen a red Comet before.

Reply from Peter.

I must have mixed up his single declaration slip up with the two DVD pile. We had been declaring them at US$15.00, but I will use $US 10.00 for all shipments going forward. I believe that the VAC is 17.5% and then there is an import tax of between 6% to 10% somewhere. I believe he can get the VAC tax refunded. Let me know more about this.

Bloody hell!

The English customs hits imports big time ,if you send any more DVDS to the UK put $10.00 at the most as the value as a few folks have paid nearly 14 pounds in duty on the dvds.
Not certain how to dig our self out of this one ,
