Is a light ball peen hammer OK or is a larger radius round end hammer needed? My rear blade got dented in '82 and I have wanted to try fixing it but have procrastinated some.
Is a light ball peen hammer OK or is a larger radius round end hammer needed? My rear blade got dented in '82 and I have wanted to try fixing it but have procrastinated some.
I used a light ball peen hammer but with an unscarred ball. It still had its original factory polished ball. Many, many light blows and constant checking seemed to do it.
Where did you bury the builder ??!! 
Hell, I'm not dead yet! I finished "Toad" in 2003. I did some tin beating in my youth and that came in handy building "Toad". If you are interested here are some photos of the build.

The science goes like this-it's likeley cheaper to buy a new one than pay a specialist repairer £60 per hour to mend the tarnished peice of "history" (read poop) that you are trying to preserve. Go spend some money sensibly for once!
