chankly bore

Difficult to be sure without scale, but possibly the large steel split holder on the left holds flywheel and mainshaft assembly and the alloy? disc and spindle could be for checking cam and pinion alignment. Look for 1"and 3/4" bore on the first and 1/2" or 5/8" on the second. Was there a large four-jaw chuck around anywhere?

? Inside there are some steps?
First step is about 2” next 1 3/4 then the bore hole is 1”.

Big round thing with C, S and L stamped is stainless steel I would say despite the rusty look?

Could the brass bit be a pilot for a valve seat cutter? Hard to tell from the photo... the smaller diameter might be too small for a normal upper guide.

The large round aluminum base with the 1/2" spindle in the center is for indexing cams. It looks like it fits on the square base, but it is upside down on the base in the photo where they are together.

There are a number of small round bushings on the RFM, Girdraulic fork or front spring boxes that need a stepped driver. The brass spindle may fit one of these.

Here is my cam indexer for comparison:
