Thanks to Covid I have almost run out of bikes to rebuild I am now venturing out of my comfort zone into the back of my workshop this one has been waiting for 30 years (I kid you not), oh and the spares service for it has just been suspended for the present crisis (we Vincent owners are a lucky lot.) anyway to my problem:
Can anyone help me identify this rev counter drive? its off a post war Douglas cica 1950 (mainly the 90+ models had rev counters ) I have never seen one like it especially the extended nose for the cable drive I have no idea what cable would fit it
it has a 2:1 ratio and I will have to get a rev counter head it may be known to some Vincent man because Douglas is one of the few early post war engines whose mags turn in the same direction as the Vincent.
