It is been some time since I have been on this forum so I don't know if this has been posted before. My cousin was the original owner of the Black Lightning in the Cycle World article in the 60's.

This is his current bike.

I know that Tony has been working on this for quite a while, but I had not seen it finished.

He sent me pictures, but I am anxious to go visit so I can see it in the flesh and take a ride. Even though it was 55 years ago I can remember his shiny Black Lightning the first time I saw it. It was really something back in the day.

I'd say that it's something even more in the today. In the late 70's I offered Bill Cottom $10K for it. Bill was getting pretty well along then, but He did manage to graciously decline....... Cindy, now that was a different story. I thought she was gonna come over the counter and grab me by the throat! "That's My Bike" she growled.:D
