Mk.1 Concentrics

I am having a bit of trouble cleaning out the pilot jets on my Rapide, they are the sealed type of jets. Some time ago I read an article on how to convert this type of carb by drilling out the opposite side to the adjuster, tapping it 2BA (Ithink) and fitting plugscrews with rubber seals. Anyone else have access to this article? or information.
Thanks

Tony

Tony, I can't help with the article, but I do recall that later Mk1's the replacable pilot jet was replaced with something referred to as a "Pilot Bush" pressed into the carb body. Perhaps Surrey Cycles or Burlen Fuel Systems could advise.

Hi
Just fitted a new mk1 to a Tr***ph the old one also had the bush jet.
Surrey cycles told me that the removable jet type is for two strokes.
I ultrasonically cleaned the old one first but that wasn't the problem on checking the carb body I found that it was worn out. Rising Sun restorations can ultra clean carbs or you might chat up a local friendly clock repairer ask him to use pressure washer cleaner diluted 20:1.

Cheers Biggles
