My Miller No.75 ammeter will not return to zero and acts as if the slight magnetic field at zero is off to discharge about 1 amp.
Can this be adjusted and fixed?
Bending the needle looks like certain failure.

Craig, you can bend carefully the small piggy tail device down the bottom, which I think is like a counterweight one way or the other and this will shift the needle position.

Craig,
get yourself a horseshoe magnet, put it crosswise at the back of the Ammeter. You can now control and centralise the needle, then gradually pull the magnet straight backwards away from the Ammeter.
I've done it many times, and it's worked for me.

Thank you Delboy, I did just this fix, except I brought a magnet to the front of the horizontal coils the needle centered and then I backed off the magnet and now it is pretty well centered.
