Migration of oil

Well, I bit the bullet and, with the direction and assistance of a friend, the bike is is spread all over the shed. I think I can see two possible areas where oil is migrating.

I see you have had a repair done at the top ( selector pin hole ), When I had mine done there was bad bowing of the cases !! But if you grind them flat it makes the cases too close together, Put the case on a piece of glass to see if it is OK, Good Luck, Bill.

I assembled my cases using Loctite 510 - all that's required is a thin smear. It works a treat - my motor is leak free - and if and when required it will separate without too much trouble.

518 has a max temp rating of 150C while 510 has a max temp rating of 200C .
518 is only rated as good water/glycol resistance while 510 is rated excellent for same.
Both grades are rated excellent for oil resistance.
Other difference is cure time - 518 is 30 minutes and 510 is 2 hours - so 510 give you way more wriggle time.
