Thanks David. As a child I read about this and saw photos in various "annuals". Capt. George Eyston was a legend. One of the few speed demons who died of old age. This effort by MG was massive and the efforts paid off. The twin cam motor really should have been developed further but the bean counters stepped in and stopped it. I rode in a twin cam MGA in about 1968 and it was a serious car even though it was nearly 10 years old.

It's too shiny and not enough rust! I hardly recognize it. You will enjoy 1957 also:

It had plenty of rust when I first got it in '86. I think there were more holes where tin worms had eaten through than there was car.
Thanks for "1957" that was good short on the "Roaring Raindrop" as Moss called it.
