For this year's effort, Max shipped the engines over to Hartmut Weidelich in Germany for the yearly overhaul. Hartmut did a fantastic job, and found some excellent support from some very impressive suppliers in Germany. One major enhancement is totally new gearbox internals designed to fit in the same custom housing built by Max.

Max has added a push bar to his truck, and this year, the liner will be pushed up to somewhere between 40 - 60 MPH before first gear is engaged, saving a lot of abuse on the clutch.

The engines are just about done, and here are a couple of pictures from Hartmut's shop.

Best of luck to Max and team! For that matter John Renwick and team as well.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on the salt.
