F: Frame Lightning RH footrest plate and gearchanges

This plate F108/1 is secured at the top by a bolt 687 ( see MO62) and a spacer (as its smaller than 1/2") in the hole that on a standard bike takes the battery tray and footrest through bolt
Bear in mind that we are told on a standard bike that the battery tray and footrest through bolt fit and tightness can influence the gearchange
Perhaps this should be rephrased as the presence of the tray and bolt can upset the gearchange if poorly adjusted but leaving it out is OK as demonstrated by the lightning assembly and perhaps some Eglis am I right?
